Benchmarking best practice

Drawing on existing examples of best practice last mile logistics solutions and research into barriers to effective last mile operations, this activity will develop a suite of information which will be used to shape the project pilots and demonstrators. Partners will also assess why industry and public authorities have not yet adopted existing best practice strategies, and understand what the barriers have been. One element of this work will touch on public sector procurement processes to benchmark current ‘last mile logistics’ practice, which the project will influence further project activity.
