Funding the project
INTERREG – working in partnership
The inter-regional (INTERREG) initiative is an EU part-funded programme that encourages Europe’s regions to form partnerships and work together on common projects. The aim is to facilitate and develop new solutions to shared economic, social and environmental challenges.
Over a seven year period, the Interreg IVB NWE (North West Europe) programme will invest €355 million from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) into the economic, environmental, social and territorial future of NWE. The fund will be used to co-finance projects that maximize the diversity of NWE’s territorial assets by tackling common challenges through transnational cooperation. The programme works with organisations that are passionate about contributing to a cohesive and sustainable territorial development of NWE.
LaMiLo is funded by Interreg IVB NWE (North West Europe), which is a financial instrument of the European Union’s Cohesion Policy
. It funds projects which support transnational cooperation.
The aim is to find innovative ways to make the most of territorial assets and tackle shared problems of member states, regions and other authorities. Interreg is 50% financed through the ERDF, the remaining 50% is provided by the project partners.
